I’m watching a Twitch stream I have watched many times before. While watching I am doing stuff on other windows using Brave browsers. The Twitch stream keeps pausing uncommanded. I have searched ant there are several related posts, but they are closed without a real solution. Do I need to go back to Chrome or another browser?
Any twitch adblocking/extensions enabled?
Yes, I have adblocking on. However, I have always had it on and never had the problem before.
Also, this is only on a Windows laptop. I did not have it the problem on an iPad.
i have the similar issue - twitch pauses in the following cases:
- the current tab is with disabled sound and i switch to another tab
- about 2 weeks ago twich streams started to hang randomly (everything works but streams are paused with loading hud randomly, sometimes this hud is infinite
This just started happening today to me and I think I have it fixed. I disabled graphics acceleration. I will report back here if it continues to happen.
performance will dip with HW acceleration disabled, I’d update to the latest GPU drivers.
This didn’t fix the issue it continued to happen. Today I was playing a game and the sound was cutting out which led me to suspect my USB cable going bad since my DAC has a bad habit of falling and stressing the cable. I put a twitch stream on to test if losing a sound card would pause the stream and it did.
To summarize, I am fairly certain my USB cable going to my DAC was flaking out and causing the stream to pause. I think I have it fixed, but will report back if the issue continues.
Unless you’re using another twitch extension? The pausing was fixed a few months back With just Brave experimental list enabled,
