@alex002 it’s broken for everyone. Practically all web browsers and adblockers are reporting issues. To quote Fanboynz from one of his earlier replies on Reddit:
I’ve disabled the twitch adblocking scriptlet, since twitch have updated the ad-insertion methods. We’ll revisit this at another stage, we poked bear and they didn’t like it
And also:
Twitch changed the code, investigating a work around
Some say less issues with it on Firefox, but even that’s a hit or miss. I know when I just visited Twitch, I got no ads. So it may also be a bit random in the code they are trying or perhaps it’s being adjusted.
Updated script in Experimental list is live. Just a lower resolution during ad playback currently. Test and enable Experimental list via brave://settings/shields/filters
Yeah wish Twitch would realize that ads mid-conversation or moment watching a streamer is incredibly off-putting and find a different way such as banners or something rather than taking you out of the stream, as for Brave as others have said was working fine for months and I guess Twitch is poking around with their ads implementation again. I personally will just not use Twitch for the foreseeable future over dealing with the intrusive ads I shouldn’t be expected to subscribe to every streamer I decide to watch just to have a coherent experience.
