The new bookmarks were overwritten after synchronization

Description of the issue:During the synchronization between two devices, the old bookmark data overwrote the new ones. Both my laptop and desktop originally imported bookmarks from Chrome, but the bookmarks on my laptop were later organized. However, after setting up device synchronization just now, the organized bookmarks on my laptop were overwritten by the old bookmarks from my desktop. Is there any way to restore the bookmarks to the state they were in before synchronization?

Additionally, how should I configure the settings to ensure that the new bookmarks correctly overwrite the old ones?

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Generate a sync code on the laptop and enter it into the desktop.
2.Generate a sync code on the desktop and enter it into the laptop.
3.The new bookmarks on the laptop were overwritten.

Reproduces how often: none

Brave Version: v 1.79.119

Type of devices currently running on the Sync chain in question: PC, Laptop

Additional Information: none

Which bright minded person enabled bookmark synchronization by default? I had the same issue too. All I wanted to sync my passwords but the moment I scanned QR code, my bookmarks went all over the place, missing bookmarks in PC, extra bookmarks in both PC and mobile device…

Isn’t there any auto-backup? Can’t I restore my PC bookmarks to yesterday? Also it isn’t clear which device send bookmarks and passwords to which device. My passwords were up to date on my PC, but passwords on the phone was outdated, but when I scanned the QR code from PC, my outdated passwords on the phone copied itself to PC. It supposed to get new data from the PC, not overwrite it. This is really frustrating.

Maybe if I hadn’t turned off bookmark synchronization before deleting phone bookmarks, I might have ended up deleting all my PC bookmarks from phone too.

So again, auto-backups? Is there one?
