Description of the issue: Tabs with media, Youtube specifically, immediately muting/pausing/going dormant/restarting the second I click on to a new tab/open a different window now when this wasn’t a problem a few days ago. I’ve changed nothing and don’t know what to do.
How can this issue be reproduced?

Open Youtube, put on music, open new tab, music stops as soon as it hits a quiet part

Open a new tab, screen is black and URL says about:blank for minutes at a time

Open multiple tabs in quick succession, (brave has stopped responding) for several moments

Open multiple tabs in very quick succession, click between tabs/windows quickly, try to click anything, have computer either completely freeze and require hard reset or make whitenoise before crashing. (Most effective results at crashing were opening many Twitter tabs in a few minutes)
Expected result: Minute long loading times, tabs going dormant immediately, browser freezing and not responding, computer freezing and not responding, computer crashing

Additional Information: I have changed nothing about my settings when everything ran buttery smooth. I could open dozens of tabs in a minute with next to no issue. The freezing/crashing/long load times has become a steadily more frequent occurrence from uncommon to expected over the course of several weeks. The tabs going dormant the moment I click away and not playing music anymore started only today, where mere hours ago this wasn’t an issue.
