Stopping Notifications

Description of the issue: Receiving unwanted Brave Notifications in spite of selecting “Don’t allow sites to send notifications” in my settings. I’m trying to turn off the ads that keep appearing.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. go to settings and select “Don’t allow sites to send notifications.”

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!): I still receive Brave notifications above my taskbar in the lower right of my Windows 11 desktop.

Expected result: No more ad notifications

Reproduces how often: every time…

Don’t allow sites to send notifications.”

That’s the wrong location. This is not a website sending you the notification. It is because you have Rewards enabled and you are seeing the browser generated the notification.

Similarly to how you enabled it, you would just go to Rewards and turn it off. Obviously if you disable those then you will no longer earn from them, assuming that you had connected and are capable of earning.
