I cant turn on the secure dns feature on brave mobile android (I’m using a Samsung a55 5g) it tells me “ This setting is disabled on managed browsers”
Is this your personal phone, or was it given to you by a school or workplace? It sounds like something is managing it through an enterprise setup, similar to Group Policy on a computer. That could be Samsung Knox, Android’s work profile settings, or another device management tool. Here’s an example from Google support: https://support.google.com/a/users/answer/9453213
It’s a personal phone but I believe it has parental controls on
@Dack that means your parents care for you and don’t want you to endulge in content that you shouldn’t in the first place.
If so, that may be what’s controlling and it would make sense. If you could adjust DNS then it can be easier to bypass some web restrictions that might be in place.
Overall just would have to get the restrictions lifted from the parent controls, group policy (enterprise), or whatever it is. But there’s nothing to be done on a browser level overall to circumvent these larger restrictions.
Technically you may be able to use a DNS to bypass some of it, if they don’t have those blocked. But that still wouldn’t give you the DNS controls from within the browser.
Just to be clear, my mom added parental controls to see where I’m going in the streets since I live in a bad street, she lifted all of the restrictions except for the one that lets her track my location. So can u tell me what restriction is this since I just wanna use nextdns with brave?
