I would like to see a classic search function. Today it is “almost” impossible to search without page after page of items for sale. I just searched for “teardown electronic throttle body” and got back page after page of sites willing to sell me a new one. I never did find anything about taking one apart. Regardless of the search topic the results are the same. The internet search function is no different than searching on a shopping site. Sometimes a person just wants to learn how to complete a task and would like to seek the advice of others like we did years ago.

When you search (using any engine), you are pulling ranked results from the web. Unfortunately, many of the results will end up being sites that want to sell you something, simply because that is how sites are ranked these days. Of note, the query teardown electronic throttle body is likely not specific enough to get the results relevant to what you want. I would recommend altering your query to something like how do I [take apart, tear down, dismantle, etc] an electronic throttle body for more specific results.
That said, fortunate for you, Brave Search does give you a way around this by way of the “Goggles” feature:
Looking now, I was able to find a No shopping Goggles for this exact use case
Try enabling the No shopping Goggle in Brave Search and see if this helps provide you more helpful results.
