This post should have been made years ago, as I still face this issue on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (Yes, it has been this long)

I will go straight to the point…

Whenever you want to search something up in the Adress bar, you type it, then click to a different tab, and re-type what you wanted to type and then press enter, your page will load with what you typed in the Adress bar when you clicked on the tab.

I will demonstrate:

  1. You open a new tab.
  2. You type “How to use” But then you click on a 2nd tab beacuse you want to multitask
  3. You return to the new tab you typed “How To Use” and then type the full sentence - Which in this case is “How To Use Perplexity Pro Mobile App” and then press enter the page only loads “How to use”.

I’ve been using brave for over 3 years now, and this is a mistake I kept running into, even on Linux, I have been on multiple devices, multiple Personal Computers, but this issue never got solved.

Now I don’t know WHY it never has been fixed, but given I am probably the first person to report this bug here, you may give me a year free worth of Brave VPN:)

Hello, I’ve never run into this issue with my browser. Still to be sure, I’ve replicated the steps exactly and things worked just fine. Maybe you have some extension causing the problem. Just saying.

Strange thing is this issue no longer occurs as far as I can tell. Using your example:

Works for me on Windows and Linux (Ubuntu) as well. If you create a fresh browser profile can you consistently reproduce the issue there as well?
