Screen tear when watching Youtube videos

Description of the issue:
When I am using Brave browser and watching videos on Youtube, I get screen tearing. I have tried switching off hardware accelerator setting in Brave settings, this solved the tearing but instead I get visible framerate drops and latency between video and audio.

I have an NVIDIA graphics card, I understand that it can be related to this. I checked my NVIDIA settings and I don’t have the max frame limiter switched on. Tried switching off Vertical Sync, made no difference. Tried switching off windows game mode, no difference. My NVIDIA drivers are up to date.

I don’t have this issue when watching Youtube videos on Chrome.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

The same!

I’ve been experiencing similar issues for several months now, which is really frustrating. At present, it seems there’s no solution. The answers I got from the Chinese community are: hardware compatibility problems. Upgrading the system, the browser, and the drivers later on might solve the problem.
When it(tearing) got serious, I switched to another browser.
I might have found the root of my problem:

I have random green screen and various driver crashes on my 50x0 series, unrelated to Brave or any browser. The current driver and beta driver (576.15) is still buggy here.
