"save password" pop-down sometimes needs continual pressing "save" or "never" & sometimes doesn't close

Greetings

Using Linux Mint & Brave browser here.

Problem:

1 When I visit and log into a website with credentials, the “popdown” save or never tab comes down, and often when I click "save or “never” it doesn’t disappear as it should!

  1. What am I doing wrong here that its not disappearing as it should either when I click save or never?
  2. Sometimes it does, but often it does not.
  3. THis happens mostly on desktop version

let me know how to fix this?

It seems like the “popdown” save or never tab in Brave browser isn’t disappearing as expected. This issue might be due to a glitch or a browser setting. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, and ensure Brave is updated to the latest version. If the problem persists, consider disabling any extensions that might interfere with the browser’s functionality. hp instant ink

This is a new install
THis happened before in other incarnations of Brave
I cant be the only 1 with this problem?

Any ideas what to do if I already performed your recommendations?

@captcanuckfanatic79, I too am having this issue on three different Windows PCs. I have no idea what is causing the issue but its probably my biggest issue with brave right now. otherwise, everything works really well. Its really annoying though and would really like to find a way to resolve it!

This issue/bug has been in Brave for as long as I can remember. Have to literally spam save password 10+ times sometimes before the window finally closes.

That and Brave not showing all my tabs hiding the rest once you have more than around 100 or so tabs, these 2 issues are why it’s not my main browser.

Repeatable on all my PC’s with Windows 10 and 11.

This happens to me too. Both on windows, Pop OS and Fedora. It needs multiple clicks, some times more than 4-5. It is extremely frustrating. Is there a way to completely disable it ?
