Rewards don't work

When trying to access rewards I get the following message:

Uh oh! The Brave Rewards server is not responding. We will fix this as soon as possible.

I’m running on Ubuntu 18.04, and as far as the Brave version I am unsure, as from inside the browser it says 1.2.43, while running the command:

brave-browser --version

from the terminal returns:

Brave Browser 87.1.18.78

I have tried running the commands here: https://brave.com/linux/
As well as uninstalling and reinstalling Brave, to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated!

I seem to have fixed the issue and am now running the latest Brave version, however the around 25 BAT I had pending have disappeared… Is there any chance I can retrieve them?

you shouldn’t have done that, if you don’t linked your wallet with an uphold account then all those pending rewards were lost, as far as I know

the brave wallet is local to your machine, unfortunately until brave doesn’t implement a new backup method there will not be a way to save the pending rewards

I had connected Brave to my Uphold account, but I was unable to collect my rewards because of that issue. Once the issue was fixed my pending rewards disappeared.
