I am seeing Brave Ads as notifications, but they are not being credited to my rewards. This problem is happening on both my Windows 11 computer and on my tablet. My rewards balance is not increasing and the 30-day ad history shows very few or zero ads credited despite seeing multiple ads on both devices. I have Brave Rewards and Ads enabled on both.
What Operating System and Brave version are you using? (Menu → About Brave)
The rewards counter fails to increase because not all displayed ads generate BAT earnings . Specifically, the counter only increments for paid ads that Brave has been paid to display; ads promoting Brave’s own products are classified as “house ads” and pay 0 BAT , thus not increasing the counter or rewards.
House Ads : Promotional content for Brave itself, which do not contribute to the ad count or BAT balance.
View Limits : If a user has reached the maximum number of paid ads available for their specific OS and region , they will predominantly see these non-paying house ads.
Recent Changes : The system was updated to only count paid ads in the counter, whereas previously it may have counted all displayed ads regardless of payment status.
