It’s not a problem, is a feature.
India will be added when they find a solution to cope with all the KYC and legal stuff.
India is at the moment a priority, so keep an eye in the following updates:

France & India was the top two priority to re-enable verification. Verification with uphold is re-enabled for France this week & now India is next. You can expect it within 1 or 2 months.
