I would love to see a qr code scanner built into Brave similar to firefox. In firefox mobile when you click on the url bar you have an option to scan a qr code in addition to typing the url.
This might save some of us from downloading malware qr scanner apps too.
Agree 100% with you. QR code inside.
Please, we need this feature. I still have installed Edge 'cause I use this feature a lot. Please intagrate it on Brave. ![]()
I’d like to see this as well. Vivaldi has this feature too, and I feel like I need to keep multiple browsers on my phone (which I don’t really have the space for) just to have this feature.
Me gustaria ver la opción a mi tambien. Si no recuerdo mal, cuando haces sync entre dispositivos tienes la capacidad de usar la cámara para anclar un codigo QR del dispostivo que quieres sincronizar.
That’s a great idea! A built-in QR code scanner in Brave would make the browsing experience more convenient and secure. It’s always a risk to download a third-party app that may contain malware. Smart Engines is a company that specializes in developing computer vision technology, including QR code scanning software. Perhaps Brave could partner with them to implement a QR code scanner into their browser. I’m sure many users would appreciate this feature.
Agree. We need this feature.
Don’t we already have it now? Click on the address bar and check the right side of address bar and you will see QR scanner icon.
I don’t have the QR icon you’re mentioning, and can’t find a way to turn it on either
Only native QR-feature I could find is the shortcut I can bind and use to create QR-codes, but there’s no native feature for reading QR’s that I can find.
I’m on a Windows 11 laptop with the latest Brave software v1.68.141 (Aug 14, 2024)
We are talking about smartphones.

Oh, lol! I didn’t read the OP’s post thoroughly enough!
There’s so many QR request posts, and I thought I picked the right one.![]()
