Hi. I have an iPad Pro 9.7 inch which is getting on a bit and only runs iOS 1Y, but I can’t afford to replace. The latest version of Brave in the App Store runs on iOS 17. I’m sure you must have the earlier software. Why isn’t it possible to make it available to people who want to try Brave? Do your agreements with Apple prevent it, and would you otherwise be willing to make it available?

Because thats how the App Store works. You can not “buy” an app that does no longer support the OS you are running. You can, however, download older versions of an app you already own. So your workaround is to use your account to get Brave either on a newer device (an iPhone works as well) or on a version of iTunes (<=12.6.3) that still allows downloading mobile apps. After that you technically “bought” the app, and your older iPad will ask if you want to download the last version compatible with your device.
