I am a student and I find Leo AI genuinely helpful with being able to change the model and all that. Unfortunately, it does not render formulas at all. I have tried extensions to render latex (webtex and tex all the things) which don’t seem to work with brave://leo-ai/ or the sidebar. It seems that this has been posted once before last year, but it has only 25 views and no replies. If adding LaTeX to render formulas isn’t possible on your end, can someone recommend an extension or any sort of workaround to convert it to readable formulas? It is an absolute must have when asking math questions.
Before you invest way more time in latex support (which would be nice to have, I agree) you may want to add markdown support for tables to Leo because it keeps trying to show me tabular data and they are always a mess and I need to tell it that tables are not rendered correctly and to try another way to format them.
@Tritonio hmm that’s strange, do you have any screenshots of how they look/which model is causing it? We did fix a bug a few weeks back with tables not being generated properly so maybe that caused a different issue
I’ve never seen a single table in Leo and I’ve been using it since you first released it. That, and when it would produce line1\nline2\nline3 I think that the markdown renderer would put those in one line instead of breaking them apart. BUT now I just tried asking it to give me tabular data and it worked perfectly! This is the first time I see boxes around data etc. I just upgraded from 1.81.137 to 1.82.161 so maybe this was fixed in this version??? Thank you either way! I hope I never see those ugly markdown-in-one-line tables.
