In brave://settings/clearBrowserData, under the “On exit” section, the “Site and Shield Settings” option is disabled.
Here’s what I’ve observed:
When I visit a website, click on the Lion icon, disable the “Block scripts” option, close the browser, and reopen it, the “Block scripts” setting remains disabled when I revisit the same website.
However, if instead of disabling “Block scripts,” I click on the Lion icon, then on the number of blocked scripts, and allow some of them, when I close the browser and reopen it, the scripts I allowed no longer remain allowed for that website.
My question: Is there a way to make the “Allowed scripts” setting persist across browser sessions, similar to how “Block scripts” works?
The following steps for Allowing a JavaScript source, demonstrate a procedure to learn - I am using www.google.com as a hostname/website example:
In a Brave Browser New Window, go to: https://www.google.com/. Click on the tune icon that is adjacent to the left end of the Brave Browser window’s URL address field:
In the resulting pop-down window, find and click on the Site settings button:
In the resulting Brave Browser Settings window at:
Notice that the long, leading portion of those URL type addresses: brave://settings/content/siteDetails?site=https%3A%2F%2F is a fixture, if you will, followed by either a site’s domain name or a site’s hostname.
So, when you see the hostname or domain name of a JavaScript source that you want to persist - let’s say, for example, that is domain wintertime.com - you could, in a Brave Browser New Window, go to:
