Per-Profile Proxy and VPN Settings

I am requesting that Brave implement independent proxy and VPN settings for each browser profile. Currently, all profiles share the same network configuration, meaning multiple profiles opened simultaneously all use the same IP and routing. This limits privacy, multi-account management, and testing workflows.

Why this should be seriously considered:

  • Enhanced privacy: Users who maintain multiple profiles for work, personal browsing, or sensitive activity cannot fully isolate their sessions. Per-profile network settings would allow each profile to operate independently, reducing the risk of cross-profile tracking.

  • Multi-account management: Professionals managing multiple social media, e-commerce, or testing accounts could assign different locations or IPs per profile without relying on separate VMs or third-party tools.

  • Testing and development: Developers and QA engineers could simulate users from different geographies or network conditions within a single Brave installation, improving testing efficiency and accuracy.

  • Competitive advantage: Other browsers and tools achieve per-profile isolation using proxies or containers. Adding this to Brave would make it significantly more appealing to privacy-conscious and professional users.

In short, this feature would allow each profile to truly function as a separate browsing environment, aligning with Brave’s privacy-first philosophy and empowering users to manage multiple identities safely and efficiently.
