So you’re saying that you have this page set to your startup page to display on launch, but when you do it just shows up as a black screen – is that correct?
If you launch the browser and just try to visit this site normally, does the site load as intended?
I have two pages set to display on launch. A Feedly page and the one I sent (Rainbow Phoenix). On start, it loads the feedly page and a tab for Rainbow Phoenix. The Rainbow Phoenix tab does not load, does nothing if I click on it, does nothing if I click on it and hit refresh button. If I copy the link fro that tab, and open a new tab and do a Paste and Go, it loads fine. That s the jist of what is happening.
So it’s just the initial startup where it doesn’t load the site.
I just tested this on my end and the site loaded (on startup) without any issue. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that you’re logged in and I’m not? Seems unlikely but might be worth checking out.
Do you have any extensions installed at this time?
No, if I try to load the tab that isn’t starting at startup, it will do nothing. If I copy and paste the URL from that dead tab into a new tab, it works fine.
Can you please try disabling that extension and testing again? Additionally, I’d be interested to know if you create a fresh browser profile (Menu --> More tools --> Add profile) and set that profile to open to the same site whether or not the issue still occurs.
It did the same thing with the extension closed. Then I could not even open the Settings page. It has gone completely bat sh!t crazy. I honestly do not have the time to waste on trying to see if this browser meets my needs. I tried setting up new profile and it was opening something (pages?) in minimized form and I could not even pull them up. Then I closed all Brave processes with the Task Manager. I opened it again, and now the Rainbow Phoenix page would open and NOT the Feedly. Quite honestly, this is not worth it to me. Thanks for trying…
