Description of the issue:
In bottom screen tab mode, the first time a new tab is opened by clicking a link, after the tab opened banner goes away, the tabs bar is unselectable.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- In browser settings select tabs on bottom
- Close settings so no tabs open
- Hard quit app and reopen
- Open a website (only tab open)
- Press and hold a link
- Select open in new tab
- New tab opens and blue banner shows, covering the tabs bar
- Try to select the new tab by tapping the title on the tabs bar at the bottom
- The tap will interact with the page behind it, as if the new tab was never opened
- If you tap the url bar then tap cancel, the tabs bar becomes selectable again
Expected result:
Tabs are always selectable.

At your step 8, I am expecting only 2 Tabs to exist. For example, I was expecting you to write:
Try to tap any tab, and the tap will interact with the page behind it - as if the new tab is not there.
Have you tried disabling Notifications for Brave Browser (iOS)?
Private Browsing Only mode (the setting) ← status?
Yes that’s what I meant, sorry. I updated the steps to be clearer.
I’m not sure where those settings are but I doubt they would have any effect.
Have you tried to repro?

The iOS Notifications settings.
Private Browsing Only setting is among the Brave Browser (iOS) settings.
I have not tried to reproduce.
The issue persists with notifications off and private browsing on.
