Description of the issue
When trying to share an entire screen in Brave on a dual-monitor Windows 11 setup, only one monitor appears in the “Entire Screen” picker.
The second monitor is available, but the first monitor is completely missing from the screen sharing picker.
This happens in both Google Meet and Crystal, using WebRTC/getDisplayMedia().
Microsoft Edge on the exact same machine and websites correctly displays both Screen 1 and Screen 2.
Steps to Reproduce
- Connect an external monitor to a Windows 11 laptop.
- Configure Windows to use “Extend these displays”.
- Open Brave.
- Open Google Meet, Crystal, or another website using
getDisplayMedia(). - Start screen sharing.
- Select “Entire Screen”.
Actual Result
Only one monitor appears in the screen sharing picker.
In my case, only Screen 2 is available.
Expected Result
Both Screen 1 and Screen 2 should appear in the picker, as they do in Microsoft Edge.
Reproduces How Often
100% / Easily reproduced.
Troubleshooting Already Performed
- Tested with hardware acceleration disabled: same result.
- Tested with a completely fresh Brave profile: same result.
- Restarted Brave: same result.
- Windows is configured in extended display mode.
- Microsoft Edge displays both monitors correctly on the same machine.
brave://gpucorrectly detects both physical displays.
Brave detects both displays in brave://gpu, but only one of them appears in the screen sharing picker.
Brave Version
Brave: 1.94.121

Official Build, 64-bit
Operating System
Windows 11 Version 25H2
Build 26200.9168
Hardware
GPU 0:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Laptop GPU
GPU 1:
Intel UHD Graphics
Internal display:
1920x1080 @ 120 Hz
External display:
1920x1080 @ 60 Hz
Comparison
Brave:
-
Screen 1: missing
-
Screen 2: available
Microsoft Edge:
-
Screen 1: available
-
Screen 2: available
Additional Information
The brave://gpu page reports both displays correctly:
-
Internal display: 1920x1080, detected
-
External display: 1920x1080, detected
Therefore, Brave itself appears to recognize both displays, but the screen sharing picker only exposes one of them.
I can provide the full brave://gpu report if needed.
