No Sound with YouTube videos

Description of the issue: No sound with YT videos. Sound is ok with Rumble videos, plays MP3 ok

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Play any YT video

Expected result: Video plays w/o sound

Brave Version( check About Brave): Brave 1.97.59, Chromium 155.0.8059.85

Mobile Device details: Moto G 5G - 2024

Additional Information: Android 15; Build/V1UFNS35H.193-24-1-2-5-7

Just noticed on downloaded videos, Google Photos plays them without sound but VLC plays the same with sound.

After rebooting in Safe Mode, Google Photos now plays vids with sound, but still no sound on YT using the Brave Browser. YT vids play with sound on Chrome

Since Rumble and MP3 audio work, it seems specific to YouTube playback in Brave. Have you tried checking YouTube’s site permissions and Brave’s Shields settings to see if either is blocking the audio?
