It’s been a few weeks now. I think I’ve gotten maybe two ads despite being online all day. Browser is always kept up to date with maximum ads per hour turned on. I"ve disabled and re-enabled but no luck. Any insights?
@jmbsol by enabling Brave Ads, doesn’t mean you’ll receive “as many Brave ads as possible”. Brave Ads is processed based on your browsing history and matched with the available ads catalogue.
It’s also depends on the availability of the ads campaign in your region. Brave Ads is not about “quantity”, but about “showing the right ads (for you), at the right time”.
Thanks
EDIT:
Also see FAQ: Why am I not seeing Brave Ads?
@eljuno, Okay, but I’ve been using it since spring and was until three weeks ago used to getting an average of 2 or 3 ads an hour. Now 2 or 3 a month despite no change in habits?
It happens to me from time to time. Sometimes I just don’t get any ad for weeks, then it comes back. Like I can only see so many in a month…
I haven’t got any ads for about a week now… but it was working fine until then.

@eljuno–so all the advertisers dropped off of Brave? I don’t get ads on desktop at all any more for over a month , maybe even 5/6 weeks. I can’t really advertise Brave to others as a way to earn BAT if there are no ads even being served. I see from other posts this is a common complaint, and so far your answers leave people wanting. There’s no explanation why the sudden change from lots of ads to literally none. If something has changed why not tell us the details? There is either a major technical glitch or you’re leaving out some important information about a change in ad availablity or protocol
Nothing changed, @jmbsol. Brave Ads is still a few months old. It’s still growing.
Also see brave.com/transparency for numbers of ads campaign per region/country.
This does not seem good and I don’t think people will be attracted to Brave based on the fact that I get only 4 ads per week and earn 1 cent. There will be no earning nor advertising in the world with this Brave browser the way it currently runs. I certainly have ads enabled and the max of 5 per hour but see none. I’m sure all of the people that depend on my viewing their ads for a living are mighty upset that they can’t get paid. You really need to fix this problem. What can be done? I like seeing ads.
Yes, obviously something has changed. I used to get many ads per day for many months. The only answer we keep getting is “nothing has changed.” When it is clear that something has definitely changed. It’s not a good way to treat your clients. We deserve honesty and transparency.
@jmbsol @sherrym I’m pretty sure, my first reply is clear enough. ![]()
Brave Ads is locally matched with your “interest”. And if the available catalog not have a matching ads for your interest, then Brave will not show you an ads.
And this one ![]()
Yes, very clear. “Nothing has changed.” Except the daily experience of your users, which has in fact changed vastly whether you want to admit to it or not. The entire Brave ecosystem depends on users earning BAT to have to share with publishers. But many of us are not.
And I am in the US, where the number of ad campaigns is highest. Yet receiving no ads. This calls the entire premise of the concept into question and yet you’re just like: “Nothing to see here. Nothing has changed. Everything is fine” Why don’t you tell us something useful and be transparent? Like: “our advertiser numbers aren’t as high as we’d like them to be” or something remotely honest
Cause i’m not going to be able to access that paywalled Washington Post subscription, or be able to tip my favorite creator with 1.5 BAT a year, which is about the current rate of my earning.
