Description of the issue:
News.google.com has been working fine but recently it keeps showing “Something went wrong. Please try again” message. This issue only happens if I select Trackers & ads blocked (standard or aggressive). If I select “Use all trackers & ads”, news will display fine.

Try clearing all browsing data, that fixed the issue for me yesterday.

Google News page fails to load properly

Description of the issue: The Google News page fails to load properly. There is “Something has gone wrong. Please reload the page. REFRESH.” (See the attached screen shot.) When you refresh the page, the same error message occurs. [Something has gone wrong Please reload the page (Large)] Also, the page fails to load properly. The only section displayed is the “Headlines.” No other sections display. (Usually, other sections, i.e., "For you,” “The US,” “Business,” “Technology,” etc. display.) …

Thanks for looking into it! Google News is now working on Desktop. However, I tested it on mobile (ver. 1.25.71) and clearing cache as suggested but it’s not working. To workaround this I’ll have to turn off the “Block cross-site trackers” option. Switching from “Top stories” to “For you” will show the “Something has gone wrong” error.
