Hey Brave team and community!
I’d love to see a minimal, monochrome app icon added to the existing alternative icon selection.
The problem with the current alternatives:
The existing custom icon options are great, but they’re all very stylized or bold. The only “reduced” options lean into a pop-art aesthetic, which feels off-brand for brave. There’s nothing that just quietly fits in. Also only the default App icon works with light and dark mode.
What I’m proposing:
A monochrome version of the Brave lion logo with only a single color. Here is my example:
Why it matters:
A lot of users put real effort into a consistent, minimal home screen aesthetic. Brave is my daily browser, but the icon always sticks out. I actually had to build a workaround using iOS Shortcuts to assign a custom icon, which works, but only updates the home screen shortcut, not the actual app. A native option would solve this properly.
I put together a concept icon to show what I mean, attaching it here. Would love to see something like this land natively in the app.

Happy if this sparks some discussion or even makes it into a future release!
Leon.
