Migrated data onto new Mac OS, bookmarks .bak file gone...everything else is there

I had to reinstall my Mac OS and restore my data from a cloud based service. My Brave bookmarks did not come with…I have Googled and found the hidden Library folder, but the “bookmarks.bak“ file is not in the “~/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/Default/” folder…where did it go?? The file size of the Brave folder is almost 24GB…but no bookmarks?!? I searched my Mac for that file, no .bak files showed up in the search…20 years of bookmarks GONE!!!

Additional Information:

I’m sorry to hear you (possibly) lost your info… May I ask though, did you setup Brave Sync with your previous version of Brave? Is it maybe currently connected to a phone?

No, I wasn’t aware of that feature, and I assumed the bookmarks would be saved with the rest of the files in the Brave folder…
