Meta (Instagram & Facebook) Login Problems

Struggle to use Brave with social media accounts from the Mac Desktop browser (
Version 1.61.116 Chromium: 120.0.6099.217 (Official Build) (x86_64)
 on MacOS 14.2.1

Problem:

  • Two-factor authentication is on with the sites (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
  • Asks for verification code, but when using Brave, I never receive the code to my phone
  • Doesn’t remember the browser/device at all (i…e. 24 hours)
  • Problem does not occur when I try to replication in Chrome or Safari

Shields are set to DOWN
Script blocking is OFF
Forget me when I close is OFF
Block Fingerprinting is ON

Same issues here. I had my Instagram account suspended after multiple retries of the “resend code” button.

Not sure about Instagram forgetting my browser, but iCloud does constantly, I have to re-do the 2FA dance on every nearly every login.
