Hi everyone,
I’ve been using Brave for about 9 months now and really enjoy it. One small thing that has annoyed me was shopping searches — I often found myself opening a new tab, going to google, typing a query, then switching to Google Shopping manually.
To streamline this for my own use, I built a very small, lightweight extension that sits pinned on the toolbar. You click it, type your product, press enter, and it opens straight to shopping results. The initial search input isn’t sent to Google’s main search first, which was a nice privacy bonus for me.
It’s intentionally simple: no accounts, no tracking, no ads, and it only runs when you click it. I mainly built it to solve my own workflow, but I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from other Brave users — especially around UX or whether this solves a similar annoyance for anyone else.
Happy to share details if people are interested, and equally happy to hear suggestions or criticism. Thanks!
