Love that I can turn off LEO and AI search features

Really enjoy that I can turn off the artificial intelligence features. Compared to other browsers cough Chrome cough that don’t let you do that, I feel like I have agency over my search experience again. I’ve disabled the settings in Brave Settings and also in my searches.

Quick reminder on how to do both:

Disable Leo’s AI features

  1. Click the hamburger menu (3 horizontal lines) in the top right corner of the browser
  2. Click Leo in the left vertical navigation menu
  3. Disable all the settings

Disable AI search features

  1. Visit https://search.brave.com/
  2. Click the Gear in the top right of the browser
  3. Disable the toggle labeled Answer with AI

Sidenote: I am honing in on my tech writing skills, anyone have tips for these short instructions?

Disable Leo’s AI features

“Click the hamburger menu (3 horizontal lines) in the top right corner of the browser window - to the right of the URL address field” ← because there are 2 of such icons in the top right area:

“Click Leo in the left vertical navigation menu” ← No such “Leo in the * vertical navigation menu” ← using Brave Browser (MacOS) pop-down menu; no sidebar enabled:

When left-hand sidebar enabled, again, no “Leo . . .”

If you want to fully remove all traces of the Leo component from the browser, then you’ll have to do so via Group Policy:
