LOCATION: Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data > Advanced AND On exit > Autofill form data
Current functionality (after checking the box & clicking Delete data) deletes saved addresses, payment information, and other suggestions, but Brave users who take time to enter and save addresses and payment information are likely to want this deliberately-saved information preserved.
“Other suggestions” are more likely to be words or phrases that are not important enough to save from session to session—things users have typed into search boxes that might not be appropriate to the box under which they’re showing; and/or they’re distracting.
REQUESTED FUNCTIONALITY: Under “Delete browsing data” rename “Autofill form data” to “Autofill suggestions” and delete only the suggestions and not information that users have proactively saved like addresses and payment info.
WHERE SAVED ADDRESSES/PAYMENTS DELETE COULD GO, IF NEEDED: Maybe under “Passwords” as those are also items that Brave users have proactively saved. Or, you could add another click-box for saved items that are not passwords or autosaved “other suggestions”.
