Barely a maybe . . . before you do the right-click, tap the keyboardâs F5 key, wait a sec, and tap the keyboardâs F5 key . . . and then do the right-click.
Next, but maybe . . . unpin and remove that Taskbar item. Exit / Quit everything; Restart computer; and add that Taskbar item.
I do remember New Window being an option, and something I used to use. Hadnât in a while so I honestly donât know when it disappeared. Chromium hasnât been updated in a bit, so itâs on â143.0.7499.110â and itâs missing it. Edge is on Chromium 143.0.3650.139, even older and still no jump list.
So I dug further, and found this Windows 11 setting:
The only drawback, and I think I did disable this, is the new Windows Start Menu is just soâŚbad. And I had to turn it off to de-clutter it. (Youâll know if you got it unlocked because it looks like this now).
I disabled that setting because it lumps so much under one âflagâ. But yea, you either have a de-cluttered Start menu and no jump list in your task bar, or you suffer clutter with a jump list.
(Thanks Microsoft.)
The only one browser that wouldnât re-enable jump list was Chromium, but Edge did as well. This makes me wonder if Chromium itself actually doesnât have jump lists.
