Is there some way to get sync to work? Brave Android refuses to sync passwords

All I see on these forums are sync not working with no way to resolve the issue. Should I give up on Brave entirely? I have passwords on Android which are not being shared with Desktop.

@Ball ok, so lots of information is missing which would be helpful in trying to answer.

  • What specific version of Brave is on each device? Such as 1.23.456
  • What OS? I mean, you say Android but is it Android 9, 10, 12, 15, 16 or what?
  • Does each device see itself and the other device on the sync chain?
  • In the sync settings on each device, do you have passwords enabled on both or just one?
  • Do you have a screen lock set for your Android? (I’m guessing no based on your comment here but just want to make sure)

@Ball can you please provide more information about the issue/setup?

  • What version of Brave are you using on your Android device, as well as the version on the device you’re trying to sync to?
  • What OS are you trying to Sync your data to from your Android device?
  • Did you create the Sync chain on your Android device or on the other device?
  • Do you see both devices in the list of devices on the Sync chain?
  • When did you initially create the Sync chain?
