Hi folks, I figured I was hijacking someone else’s thread, so I deleted my original post and re-creating this new one. I have a video to demonstrate it too if needed but I see the flickering/jittering issue on a particular website as well. Only on an iPhone 17 Pro Max with Brave browser in landscape mode. I did not experience (or could reliably duplicate) the jittering /flickering on reddit.com , weather.com etc but this particular site timent.com without fail does this in landscape mode.
Just for giggles I tried Brave on an iPad mini (both IOS 26 & 27 public beta releases), Samsung S21+, an older iPad that I can’t recall the model and also some Linux distros - the magic combination is any version of iOS 26 on an iPhone 17 Pro Max, with the any version of Brave browser that was available on the App store since I’d say mid/late June 2026, in landscape mode with or without shields. Please let me know if I can provide any additional testing and let the folks at Brave know.
Edit - To summarize I tried Brave, Firefox, Edge, Samsung Internet Browser, Safari, Chrome, and LibreWolf on whatever devices I could get them on. Every device/browser/OS/orientation works fine except for the site I mentioned on Brave + Landscape Mode + Iphone 17 Pro Max
Hi there. I have tried shield up and down across many varying hardware. On the iphone I can make it happen every time with that particular site I mentioned regardless of shields being down or up. I believe I am not allowed to upload a video as I am new to the forums otherwise I could upload one that demonstrates it in detail.
I was very annoyed today with this “flickering in landscape mode” issue on iOS, so I sit down and tried to tweak different settings to find the one which is causing the problem.
And the result is - the issue is caused by “Page Zoom”. I think it depends on the screen resolution. On my iPhone 15 Max the flickering happens if “Page Zoom” is set to 125% or 175%. If it is set to 100%, 150% or 200% - no issues.
That is very interesting. I’ve tried the same on my phone which is a 17 Pro Max and my results do not change with zoom levels. Maybe it’s just one of the sites I’m testing this against. Can you see how the landscape flickering is at this website: www.timent.com when you have a chance? No matter what I do the landscape flicker on that website does not go away.
