HTML file used as Homepage is not saved

I use a html file on my pc in Linux as my homepage. However it keeps vanishing. After logging out and then coming back the next day, Brave says if cannot find the file and the file it cannot find it has listed as the file it cannot find. This works fine in Brave on my windows 10 pc, why does it not work in Linux Mint 21? Linux says it is not their problem.
