How to restore crashed session?

Brave 1.86.148, Windows 11

My PC crashed, I reopened Brave, it offered to restore my last session - it did not. I tried Ctrl+Shift+T but it did nothing. I tried selecting History from the menu but there’s no “restore window” button anywhere. Essentially, all the previous advice here on what to do is worthless.

Worst, History only shows what I did today and yesterday. I had open tabs going back months that are now totally gone. As tedious as it would have been to go through months of history to restore things, I don’t even have that option. Why does History only save TWO DAYS?!?!?! I’ve lost months of research. I’m so discouraged I’m ready to ditch Brave for a browser with proper session management and restoration.

Can you confirm that you’ve logged into the correct profile (if you have multiple)? Additionally, if you have, can you tell me if any other data – passwords, bookmarks, autofill data, etc. – seems to have disappeared? Or is it just your browsing history?

I only have one profile, and the history from yesterday is indeed what I did yesterday. Fortunately I do still have my bookmarks, which does help, but I didn’t bookmark everything because I’ve never had a problem with Brave not re-opening all my windows. So yes, it’s just my browsing history.
