i’ve had to reinstall Brave browser recently because of sync issue.
now, whenever i close the browser with any tab still on, the next time i start brave, all those unclosed tabs from previous session will also appear. i’ve checked “open new tab page” on startup and unchecked “continue running when brave is closed.” anything i’ve missed?
You can try checking the Windows System Tray (the hidden icons menu on the bottom right of your taskbar near the clock).
Even if you changed it in the settings, Brave sometimes keeps a process running there. Look for the Brave icon in the System Tray, right-click on it, and make sure to uncheck “Let Brave run in the background”.
I’m not entirely sure if this will fix it, but it’s worth a try!
tried it. doesn’t work. brave doesn’t shows in the hidden icons menu.
when closed, brave also doesn’t appears on task manager background list. but if i close brave with active tab(s) on (using x icon on top-right), instead of closing each tab manually, next time i open the browser, all previous tab(s) will open again.
Do you have any extensions installed at this time? If so, does disabling them resolve the issue for you?
