How to export Brave data files

Hello everyone, how are you, I need URGENT help, I explain what happened to me:

  • My PC was damaged 1 week ago and the Windows files were corrupted, so even if I connect the hard drive to another PC I cannot load Windows but I can access all the files I had, I have tried copying and pasting to the new PC installing Brave but nothing works, Brave starts completely clean…

I did not have the Sync function activated

I read in a forum that having the files it is possible to recover everything but I don’t know if I did something wrong

Please help me as I had many pages saved…

@NoName69 there is no way to retrieve your passwords unless can launch from the drive. Passwords are encrypted using the OS they are on. Moving to new OS/device would lose the encryption, meaning they can’t be seen.

As to other things, it’s as I mentioned at How to backup Desktop. Remember if you’re doing the copy/paste of files, you need to replace that User Data folder before you launch Brave on the new device.

Hi, I finally find the solution, copyng files to a clean installed Brave, I reset Windows without open Brave (neccesary) and then it work…
