Description of the issue:
The underlying issue (failure to clear certificate expired badge) was first reported a year ago in this issue. The instructions there suggested to clear the SSL cache. But Brave offers no way to do this (unlike Chrome, which does). How do I clear the SSL cache in order to resolve this cached “expired certificate” badge?
Well, like in that post when I was around this time last year, still not sure what to suggest (other than what I did say in that post) as I’m just a user trying to help so I’m going to tag in @Saoiray to see if he has any further suggestions again.
Can you please try fully quitting/relaunching the browser, then opening a private window and visit the site in question to see if the cert. still appears as expired?
Great suggestion, thanks! Just doing that didn’t work. BUT! When I changed my browser settings to be “start with a blank page” rather than “reopen past pages”, and then I quit, reopened, and went incognito, the site no longer showed as expired. And when I then went to the site in a regular window, it also didn’t show as expired.
So I suspect the cached value of the site badge was actually in my browsing history of open pages.
