Horizontal scrolling still broken in Brave over 2 years after first reported

Description of the issue:
Horizontal scrolling is still broken in Brave with my Logitech MX Master 2S.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Use a Logitech mouse with a horizontal scroll wheel, like the MX Master 2S
  2. Open a Google Sheet spreadsheet
  3. Try to scroll horizontally

Expected result:
Self explanatory

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.20.110 Chromium: 88.0.4324.192 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I can try whatever fixes are recommended but I do not want to delete Logitech Options software, which was mentioned as a workaround in the past posts I linked.

Oddly, sometimes horizontal scrolling will work in one spreadsheet but not another. I have no explanation for this.

Seems to be related to Logitech Options (Logitech management software). Uninstalling the software restores horizontal scrolling for me too, but Brave seems to be the only software I use with issues scrolling horizontally.
