I have lost all my favs. Abotu 60 of them. A new Tab is blank and my Bookmarks gone. Can I recover to the one hundred or so I had before or must I spend the next two weeks trying to recover? Any help much appreciated.

Can you tell me if there is any other data missing from the browser (passwords, history, etc) or is it just your favorites/bookmarks?
History is all there. Passwords is empty but then, I find I save a pwd and it never logs me in or asks me again if I want to save one that I know I have asked to be saved before. So for now given up on pwd manager until I see it working properly. I’m on an M3 MacBook pro. Thanks.
Do you have Brave Sync enabled at this time? Additionally, if you go to ~/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/Default, find the Bookmarks file here and open it and check to see if there is data in this file and, further, if they reflect the bookmarks you had in the browser previously?
I run my day to day on a restricted user account so I had to go to an admin account to try to find applications/Brave/etc. as you said. There is absolutely no Brave folders let alone BraveSoftware! IF there should be one there I have certainly not removed it. Nevertheless I have Brave installed and use it. I did instantiate Brave for the first time in the Admin account and Brave configured all its folders for that account. Not sure where to look for my other user account to see if brave has folders for it to run. I could try to go to a Time Machine backup BUT where do I look if it reflects what is on the laptop??
@Allex50 you may be looking in the wrong place – can you show me the path you used to try and find the BraveSoftware folder?
