Description of the Issue:
When highlighting text on white backgrounds, the highlighted text appears transparent or invisible. This issue only occurs in light mode (white backgrounds) and not in dark mode.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open any webpage with a white background in Brave.

  2. Attempt to highlight/select any visible text using the mouse or keyboard.

  3. Observe that the highlight is not visible, making it difficult to know what is selected.

Expected Result:
Selected text should be clearly highlighted with a visible color (e.g., blue) for easy readability.

Actual Result:
In light mode, the highlighted text appears transparent or is not visible at all, making it hard to tell what has been selected.

Additional Information:

  • Issue occurs only in light mode.

  • Dark mode displays selection highlights as expected.
