After clearing Brave’s data/cache this morning [because cloudfare suddenly prevented me from visiting a website], I can no longer log into my google account - getting “This browser or app may not be secure“ error. Tried 9-ways to Sunday but no joy 
Firefox works with no problem. I prefer Brave but if this persists, I may have to revert to Firefox.

I’m not sure what might be going on here, but let’s try the following:
► Open Shields menu and disable fingerprinting…try again. If it doesn’t work, try the next.
► Disable shields entirely. Does it work now?
I wonder if it’s either fingerprinting or shields. I’m already signed in and for work can’t clear cookies and cache on Google right now to test, but since I’m signed in, I can’t test this since for you it broke after clearing cookies and cache. But let’s start there.
Turning off shields/fingerprinting was one of the 1st things I tried - no joy!
Also downloaded/installed latest/greatest Brave - no joy.
I tried an ‘an older ‘portable’ version of Brave [not sure where I got it from] - THAT WORKS <8)
RESOLVED!!!
After much trial/error I resolved the problem by disabling ALL extensions. I was able to log into my GOOGLE account successfully.
I enabled a few essential extensions, logged out of google account and was able to log back in.
Something about clearing out ALL browser data in combination w/ [certain] extenstions messed up google login capability.
Something for Brave gurus to look into.

Unfortunately, when you don’t specify, we go in circles.
Glad it’s resolved. Since clearing cache and cookies worked and it may be extension related, since it’s fixed, there’s nothing to go off of now.
Like…knowing what they are would be a start.
