I’m relatively new to Brave and it’s brilliant but now I’m using brave search engine because I want to get away from google and other mainstream search engines , when I type in news I get news from USA so I try to change it to Ireland it’s not in the list , can I add it ?
Yeah, that’s a known limitation with Brave Search. Right now a lot of regions (including Ireland) just aren’t available in the dropdown yet.
I ran into the same thing and ended up making a small extension to fix it. It basically forces results from whatever country you choose if Brave doesn’t already support it, so you still get normal behavior where it works properly.
You can set it to prioritize Irish sites specifically, so searches like “news” won’t default to US sources anymore.
