Greeted by 'start using brave rewards'

Briefly describe your issue:
My rewards has been reset, in the frontend at least. Rewards-internals shows my BAT and valid info seed. I was not verified yet but was connected to Gemini so I’m scared if I continue through the ‘Start using Brave Rewards’ thing again it’ll be reset. I have reinstalled Brave.

If you go to brave://rewards in the browser, does it show all your Rewards data as it should?

While not exactly the same for me, I have experienced something similar and it appears that while my collected BAT remains the same, I have seemingly lost ALL my BAT from last month on all of my devices. Which (maybe unironically) was a large amount due to being online a ton more than usual because of Holiday shopping.

What I got on my devices today when I checked was a prompt asking me to verify what country I was in? WTF? I am in the US, have always been in the US, and use a VPN that is only in the US - same one I have always used. No pending BAT from last month on any of the devices.

Changes/problems like this seems to only crop up around the time BAT is supposed to be paid out. Frequency is increasing as well, from what I have seen. Wonder at what point do we realize we are getting taken for a ride. I am going to assume Brave is getting paid properly by the advertisers and they are seemingly struck by issues on a monthly basis even though nothing changes on my end.

That has been because of the new update. They want you to choose a country to make sure they show you the correct ads and also to kinda reduce fraud.

It’s the same, ‘Start using Brave Rewards’. Only place it shows my actual balance and that everything seems fine is at brave://rewards-internals
