Google Voice Typing Doesn't Work

Description of the issue:

Google Docs has a google voice transcription feature, where it can record any audio it hears from your computer, but this does not work at all in Bave.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Have stereo mix enabled, play a youtube video or other audio source.
  2. In Google Docs, go to tools> voice typing and click the microphone.
  3. The Mic will glow red but not transcribe the audio/video playing.

Expected result:

Google Voice Typing should be able to transcribe any audio coming from your computer, through stereo mix. This works on Google Chrome. There, when you click the google microphone, Chrome gives you a prompt to access your mic but it is actually the stereo mix and then it correctly transcribes the audio.

EDIT: The ‘open issue’ that is linked below apparently says there is “no way forward” in fixing this issue :frowning:
