Hello, is there any update on this? Its becoming a pain to use google from brave.
In my case, i use it unisgned into google and without any incognito as well, every search from the bar throws up a captcha. I beleive others have highlighted this too.
For the record, i disabled shield, disabled ALL extensions, cleared all cookies and data for all websites and even restarted my browser, my pc and even reset my ISP connection multiple times. This did not happen previously and has been an since past 2 months or so.
Block/Hide the Google reCAPTCHA checkpoint - with an ad blocker or custom CSS, and/or
Intercept or strip its scripts . . .
THEN one or both of the following, occurs:
The particular Google checklist line is not marked “challenge solved”, so Google assumes you failed or didn’t complete the check.
Your efforts appear to Google, to be more suspicious, which increases your Google checklist/risk score and can lead to more dynamic challenging by Google, including more frequent CAPTCHAs.
That point (2) meaning, you, and your computing behaviror, and computer info, and software info ← all the bits of information that Google gathers . . . effectively makes “you” A Browser of Interest.
In addition to, your activity at one Google access point and/or website, matches your activity at another ← making “you” qualify again, as A Browser of Interest.
As long as you are challenged, Google remains less-informed about you. IF using Google’s Chrome and usually you do not encounter the reCAPTCHA challenge ← that is probably because, Chrome provides more information to Google, THEN you are less of a mystery and More Known.
@Mattches may know more, by now, re status of somehow bypassing the reCAPTCHA challenge.
I had said I was encountering this originally but this seems to have cleared up some time ago for me. @although8229 can you try downloading the Brave Beta build and test to see if you see the same behavior there?
