I would like to have Google Search as my preset search tool. But even when I wanna search over the URL line, I land at yahoo.com. Why? Every time I can not search at Google but at yahoo. Can somebody help me?
Hi @MaHa96, welcome to Community!
Can you go to: brave://settings/search, Does the section search engine used in the address bar have Google or Yahoo listed?
The section has Google listed and i nowhere see Yahoo there… This is confusing I think!
Do you have Brave as your default browser?
Yes I have Brave as my default browser.
@MaHa96
Can you try creating a new profile and seeing if the issue persists?
Click on the menu icon in the top right corner > create new profile.
Search directly from the address bar, Google should be the default search engine.
