Fully Block Website on Brave Android

Hello everyone,
I hope you are doing well.

I need your help to fully block some websites from ever being reached on a Brave Android Browser

Description of the issue:

I need parental censorship style website blocking here. The aim is to fight addiction.

  • Having the Brave shield is NOT enough. Blocking javascript is NOT enough.
    The blocked websites must NOT load at all.

  • I want to stay vanilla as much as possible. I am sure there is a way to do it natively on Brave - please tell me if I am wrong.

  • The Filter Content custom list feature is not enough. It does stop search engine results, but not direct url access (writing the URL in the search bar). I followed this pattern:

||thewebsite.url^$important,third-party

Thank you for your help!

Brave Version( check About Brave):

See

Free DNS servers - some block adult content:

Hello, thank you for your sharing ControlD and free DNS services.

So there is no way to block a website natively on Brave?

I would like to reduce the number of apps to add on the phone.

Perhaps there is an extension for Brave that does the job?

Thanks!

Brave Team member @fanboynz would know re filter lists.

Otherwise, I found another source of tips:

Thank you everyone for your help.

Because Brave do not replicate this feature found on UBlock Origin, I move back to Firefox.

I went to Brave because of how Firefox mobile was annpying concerning bookmark exports. But right now I need the website block feature more than exporting bookmarks.

Have a great day everyone!
