tried a bunch of solutions online but nothing worked, is there a way to get full screen videos to work while they are behind other full screen windows ? it always gets paused

How can this issue be reproduced?
open a full screen video, open a different instance of brave browser above it not as a small window but maxed one, and the video will freeze

Okay, if you can test this (assuming you’re using Youtube here)
Update Brave Ad Block Resources Library - Version: 1.0.119 in brave://components
And enable Experimental List in brave://settings/shields/filters
Refresh Youtube tabs.
Which sites specifically?
Add this to brave://settings/shields/filters (Create custom rules)
With your chosen site;

for some reason on windows 10 it works fine, on my win 11 it doesn’t work
Should be fine, same code etc. Maybe shields isn’t enabled or an extension maybe?
reset the browser to default settings + removed any extension i had i really dont understand this ^^

i uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, still didnt work this makes no sense..
anyone ? 
kinda upsetting spent a long time trying to fix it, its weird that it works on win 10 and not win11
brave was a new install on the win 10, okay it works on win10 without the custom filter
Well, @Clix, would be nice if you could be more particular about what websites you’re speaking of. But I’m on Windows 11 and it doesn’t matter what website I go to, any media being played will continue even if I have other things open on top of it.
Giving more information would let people test a bit more.
it happens to me with every video sites i use, twitch and youtube the video turns black, other sites the video “pauses” and looks blurry
@Clix So I just did it on Twitch, YouTube, HiAnime, and a few others. Maximized the video and have it playing, then open a new window and browse. If I alt+tab it switches back to it with no issues.
I tried some various testing just now. It didn’t matter if I had memory saver enabled or anything. I tried turning off graphics acceleration, opening several different windows, even using other browsers besides Brave but it kept playing. I even could play videos on YouTube while Twitch was still going.
I tried both with just hitting the full screen buttons on their player, but then just in case had even tried doing F11 to put the browser completely in full screen. Regardless of which, it all went with no problem.
Can you try some of the following to see if any differences?
If you toggle the setting for Use graphics acceleration when available which is found at brave://settings/system do you notice any difference? If you have it off, turn it on and test. If it was off, then use it with it on.
Create a second profile. That’s the three line hamburger menu on the top right → more tools → add new profile. Test it without changing settings or adding extensions.
Test on Brave Beta or Brave Nightly. Does it also happen there?
@Clix if you try it on Chrome, does it work the same or does it handle differently?
its the same on chrome/edge, works well on firefox
