Forget me when I close this site not working on Nightly v 1.89.41

Windows 11 25H2 latest stable build

Can you clarify whether you are talking about a site specific setting or a global one?

Also, what is still happening that should not be, or what seems to be broken? A clear description of what is persisting or failing will make it much easier to pinpoint the cause and work toward a solution.

I have both global and site settings enabled. So, e.g., open a new Google tab and sign in. Close tab. Open new Google tab and still signed in. I assume this is not how it should work unless I’m misunderstanding the concept.

I believe there is a 30s timeout period for this – so that just in case you close the tab then realize you forgot to do something while logged in (or whatever the case may be) to that site, you can still reopen the tab without having to sign back in right away.

So go ahead and test again, but give it ~30 seconds after closing the tab before re-opening/visiting that site.

@Mattches @Saoiray - I re-tested, waiting after closing tab and then opening a new tab. This feature does indeed work. Thanks.
